A wait for wind
The other day when you asked,
to stay a little longer,
I slipped a smile and left
Without a word to you.
Because you already knew
I am a wild breeze,
Which comes for a little while;
But not to spend life time.
The way you called me butterfly,
Not because I bought hope to you,
But as I always flap and flutter
And rarely stays around.
Although I want you to know,
Beauty of yours is so divine.
Even the clutter of flowers
Are just fine.
You are the reddest rose,
I have ever seen.
Most beautiful orchid,
I have ever been.
And do you know, how you smile?
Yes! I observed you for a little while,
When I was sitting next to you on that,
Lakeside bench pretending to look far away.
First, you turn your face and look at me,
not a quick peek but a stare.
As if, trying to find something,
In my twilight coloured eyes.
And then you finally smile!
I know not whether it's,
A smiling ritual that you follow.
Despite, I want to live that fantasy,
And consider myself as an exception.
And the way you told me,
flesh and bone is all that you're.
But you want me to look upon you
As my whole universe.
Maybe somewhere I want that as well!
However, the time is the incharge and
I am an insignificant being.
All I can do is wait on you.
And if it chooses for us to meet again,
I will meet you with open arms
And love in my heart.
But will you wait for me as well?
